American Senator Jack Reed, who is also the Chairman of Senate Armed Services Committee, took on the Senate floor to express his views that reason behind Afghan Taliban’s success is that US was not able to eliminate the help Afghan Taliban was getting from Pakistan.
A day after Washington made an announcement that they will withdraw all their troops from Afghanistan by September 11, US Senator Jack Reed came up to remind his colleagues that Pakistan has played on both sides in Afghanistan which is one of the major reasons of Afghan Taliban’s success.
While talking about the recent study Senator Reed said State of Pakistan and their departments like Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) were the safe heaven for Afghan Taliban, failure to undermine these acts of Pakistan is Washington’s notable mistake.
