Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s appreciation tweet mentioning 25 countries for their support was refuted by Bosnian Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovic, she said her country cannot support violence.
A tweet by Israeli PM Netanyahu On May 16, thanked 25 countries for extending support to Israeli military action against Hamas. Netanyahu used flag emojis to call out countries and thank them for backing Israel.
In response to Netanyahu’s tweet, Bosnian Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovic and Bosniak Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sefik Dzaferovic quickly refuted the claim through their official social media handle.
Bosnian Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovic tweeted that her country will only support peace and efforts to achieve a solution. This effort is violent which cannot restore peace.
She further pointed out that violence would never lead to everlasting peace and stability. She said her country demands immediate end to the attacks causing deaths of innocent people. “We support a solution that will benefit two countries, two nations and we believe only peace deal can achieve long lasting peace”, she said.
