Actor Zoya Nasir canceled her engagement with social media celebrity Christian Betzmann due to his insensitive comments on Pakistan and Palestine. The decision appears to have huge impact on Pakistani netizens which made them unfollow Christian Betzmann on Instagram.
Zoya took on the Instagram to announce part aways from Betzmann. She made this announcement with heavy heart as Betzmann’s attitude towards her culture, her country, and her people suddenly changed, and his insensitivity to her religion made her make this difficult and irrevocable decision.
Betzmann mocked Pakistan as a third world country and called its people so powerless that the only thing they can do against atrocities is prayers. This was statement which led Betzmann to his situation.
