Gwadar: Senior anchorperson Arshad Sharif and his team attacked and injured young journalist and YouTuber Siddique Jan a day before PM Imran Khan’s arrival in Gwadar, Balochistan, to oversee signing of Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) and to lay the foundation stone of a couple of projects.
Arshad Sharif and Siddique Jan had reached Gwadar to cover the Prime Minister’s Monday visit. Arshad Sharif, who held grudges against Siddique, upon coming across him knocked Siddique to the ground and started punching and kicking him. Arshad, along with ARY producer Adeel Raja and two others, violently beat up Siddique Jan in what appeared to be a premeditated assault before the security came to the rescue of Siddique. Siddique Jan received multiple injuries and was shifted to hospital.
