Prime Minister Imran Khan has stated that he would not have ever been able to reject the United States’ demand to provide air bases on Pakistani soil, if he had properties, business and assets in the west, like past governments of the country.
Khan said those leaders cannot fight the case of the country who have their properties, looted wealth and businesses abroad. “I will live and die for Pakistan as I have no stakes outside the country; otherwise I could have never said absolutely not”, said the Prime Minister.
The PM has a clear stance on ‘not sacrificing the sovereignty of Pakistan’ at any cost. This foreign policy shift has been followed at several places by government officials in public meetings. IK further said that no nation on earth could aspire to rise unless there was a uniform set of laws for all the people. He reiterated that a country with a begging bowl could not stand on its feet.
