The Afghan envoy’s daughter was reportedly abducted from Islamabad on July 16, the incident had shocked the whole country. Prime Minister Imran Khan ordered Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed to investigate this matter and apprehend the culprits involved.
After completing 90% of the investigation, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed held a press conference where he revealed the hidden facts of the entire incident. According to the ‘safe city cameras’, Silsala Alikhil, daughter of the Afghan Ambassador Najib Alikhil, left her diplomatic car and travelled to Khadda market Islamabad in a private taxi, said Sheikh Rasheed.
Sheikh Rasheed said that she took another taxi and travelled to a shopping mall in Rawalpindi. Later she took yet another taxi and reached a tourist spot in Islamabad known as Daman-e-Koh. He added we interrogated the 3rd taxi driver who dropped her at Daman-e-Koh.
From Daman-e-Koh, she traveled to the F9 sector instead of going back to her home. The missing part of the investigation is why did she travel to F9?. Information from Safe City cameras is being gathered which will completely reveal what happened to her while travelling from Daman-e-Koh to F9.
What makes Silsila’s kidnapping story further doubtful is the fact that she lied to authorities about her mobile phone being snatched by the kidnappers. Her phone was recovered from her but she had already erased all data from her mobile.
