Prime Minister Imran Khan condemned the attack on Ganesh Mandir, Rahim Yar Khan yesterday.
The incident took place in Bhong village, where a local cleric, Hafiz Ibrahim, registered an FIR against an eight-year-old boy, Meghwar. However, Meghwar got bail from a local court.After the decision of the court, a mob attacked the Ganesh Mandir in the town. The local community called the police. However, the mob dispersed before the arrival of the police.Social media users across the country condemned the attack and the whole community demanded action against the mob.Calling it a violation of our constitution, Federal Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari asked the parliamentary secretary to visit the area.Today Prime Minister Imran Khan took notice of the attack and directed the Inspector General Punjab to arrest the culprits as soon as possible. He also announced to restore the Mandir.
