Ashraf Ghani Resigns And Transfers Power To Afghan Taliban

After taking control over the major parts of Afghanistan, the Afghan Taliban are now heading towards the Presidential palace. As per sources, Kabul government will step down in front of the Afghan Taliban with the resignation of Afghan president Ashraf Ghani.

Talks between the Afghan government and Afghan Taliban will lead to an interim government. As per sources, Co-founder and one of the top leaders of the Afghan Taliban, Mullah Baradar will lead this government.

Earlier this Sunday, Taliban forces have taken control over Jalalabad peacefully. They have taken access to its main highways including the Torkham border post, as a result of the crisis that emerged after the fall of Mazar-e- Sharif. Nevertheless, Hamid Karzai International Airport is still in the hands of the Afghan government. The Afghan ministry on the entrance of the Afghan Taliban into the capital has stated clearly that the fighters were there in the Paghman, Kalakan, and Qarabagh districts of the capital.

Afghan Taliban had already ruled over Afghanistan from 1996-2001 which is considered as one of the hardest tenures for afghans especially women. Talking about the upcoming tenure of the Afghan Taliban in his interview with BBC, one of the Afghan Taliban spokespersons stated that Taliban leadership will not harm civilians, neither it will conduct acts of revenge towards the officials of the Afghan government. Moreover, women in Afghanistan will not be abstained from acquiring education, moving alone out of their houses, and performing official activities
