Ever since the hashtag #SactionPakistan has become trending, a great deal of hate and negative talk has been going on against the Pakistani forces. Among the chief proponents are the Afghan Journalists, namely Habib Khan, who has recently posted several tweets accusing Pakistan of the instability in Afghanistan.
On Tuesday, Habib Khan Totakhil tweeted that “300 Pakistani soldiers disguised as Taliban are conducting house to house search in Kabul, hunting down those wanted for ISI.” The allegation stands on no evidence whatsoever, thus putting it under question for its validity. Further, many people have commented on the matter, with some ridiculing the number ‘300’ and the others asking for proof saying, that it is a baseless accusation.
Today, the former Wall Street Journal reporter again tweeted that the war persisting in Afghanistan is not a civil war but a full-fledged “Pakistani invasion” of their country. The continued backlash Pakistan is facing through the media is alarming, but the fact remains that the #SactionPakistan trend and the media war between the two neighboring countries seem more of a propaganda than a reality. Moreover, Israel and India have also joined the hashtag sanction Pakistan to support US backed Afghans.
