Leaked Audio Reveals Ashraf Ghani Begged Joe Biden To Sanction Pakistan In His Last Phone Call Before Kabul Collapse

Washington, August 31(Reuters) reviewed that before Afghanistan faced a collapse, US President Joe Biden pressed Afghan counterpart Ashraf Ghani, to change perception against the fight with the Afghan Taliban.

The two men had the last call on 23 July, discussing the political strategies, and military aid but none of them were proved productive, to an immediate spell spread across the falling country to the insurgent group.

Before the call, the US in support of Afghanistan’s security carried airstrikes which were a clear violation of the Doha Peace Agreement according to the Afghan Taliban and afterward Joe Biden offered closed air aid to Ashraf Ghani if the plan is well justified and explained besides them.

Biden’s majors focus during the call was the change of Afghan government perception, which tends to be pole apart from global perception and suggested to view the situation from a different lens for more effective strategies.

Ashraf Ghani told Biden that rebalance of military was the solution to current scenario faced by Afghanistan, the full-scale invasion from the Afghan Taliban and international terrorists backed by Pakistan.

During the call, Ghani suggested Biden to put sanctions on Pakistan, since it has been providing logistic support for the cause. However, Pakistan denies all the allegations against the country and said these all were excuses by Ashraf Ghani to justify his failures.
