Just a few days after Argentina showed their interest in buying JF-17 Thunder fighter jets, Iraq has also closed a deal with Pakistan Air Force to buy JF-17 thunder for their Air Force.
After several rounds of discussion between Pakistan and the Iraqi Air Force, the Deputy Chief of the Iraqi Air Force, Major General Muhammad Majed Mehndi, has come to Pakistan to confirm the deal to buy JF-17 fighter jets.
Both the Pakistani and Iraqi governments have approved the defence deal. Top military officials of both countries are expected to sign an official agreement next month to buy 12 JF-17 fighter jets. The Iraqi government has allocated $664 million for the purchase.
