India and Pakistan have come to blows at the United Nations with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s fiery address to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Friday.
In his speech, he openly criticised the world for her hypocrisy and silence on Indian human rights violations plus atrocious carried out in Indian occupied Kashmir. Imran Khan said the most prevalent and dreadful form of Islamophobia is ruling India. Continuing, he said that the vindictive Hindutva ideology is prevailing in India, disseminated by the fascist RSS-BJP government, has created an atmosphere of horror and brutality against 200 million-strong Muslim community. Moreover, under the BJP government, India has revoked the status of Kashmir and certain human rights violations were made.
In reply to PM Imran Khan’s fiery speech, Indian diplomat at the General Assembly, Sneha Dubey exercised her right to reply, she alleged that Pakistan provided shelter to terrorists and regarded the Kashmir issue as their internal matter.
In her reply, Pakistani diplomat Saima Saleem said that Kashmir was not a ” so-called intrinsic part and internal matter”. It remains a disputed territory whose final fate is still to be decided by democratic principles of the free and unbiased referendum under the resolution of the UN security council.
