According to the Punjab Provincial Transport Authority (PPT), till the 12th Rabi-ul-Awal, “no music/movie or obscenely would be tuned/displayed in all types of transport vehicles.
The Punjab government has designated Shan-e-Rehmatual-Lil-Alameen to be celebrated from the 1st Rabi-ul-Awal to the 12th Rabi-ul-Awal.
“It is desired that no music/movie or obscenely be tuned in all forms of transport vehicles during these days except recitation of Holy Quran, Hamd and Naats especially in the aftermath of Shan-e-Rehmataul-Lil-Alameen celebrations,” the PPTA said in a statement.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) had already published coronavirus instructions, for Rabiul Awal festivities across the country. Religious scholars and naat Khawans are required to be fully immunised against Covid.
To commemorate the month both the provisional and federal governments have decorated roadways government buildings and monuments.
According to the media reports, the decision was made to bring people closer to Islam and instil respect and affection for Prophet Muhammad’s life (P.B.U.H).
