Following the official visit of Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Director General Inter Services Intelligence (DG ISI) General Faiz Hameed to Kabul, pictures of DG ISI are circulating on social media.
The spymaster was seen holding a tasbeeh that indicates his devotion to Islam. Many left-wing social media users tried to make a controversy out of the pictures of DG ISI.
Baqir Sajjad, a correspondent at Dawn News posted the picture of DG ISI, he highlighted the tasbeeh and said “The general with the rosary. On the path to spirituality?”. The question mark on the tweet of Baqir Sajjad was indicating that he was questioning DG ISI for holding a tasbeeh, as if a DG ISI is not allowed to hold tasbeeh or express his devotion to Islam.
The same tweet was also retweeted by Imaan Mazari as a sign of enforcement, who is the daughter of Shireen Mazari, acting Minister of Human Rights of Pakistan.
A left-wing journalist, Gul Bukhari did another attempt to make the picture of DG ISI controversial by tweeting the same picture with a heading of “Situation” written in Urdu.
