Six Palestinian rights organizations have been designated as terrorist organizations by Israel. Israel is once again under fire and not for a very unique cause as it is not the first time when Israel has violated norms to create chaos in the region.
The Israeli Minister of Defence designated six Palestinian human rights and civil society groups, as terrorist organizations, and Independent UN human rights experts on Monday strongly condemned the decision.
The six Palestinian organizations being redesignated are Addameer, Al-Haq, Defense for Children International – Palestine, the Union of Agricultural Work Committees, the Bisan Center for Research and Development, and the Union of Palestinian Women Committees.
Keeping in mind the background that their political relationship is rooted in conflict. Modern-day Palestine was ancient Israel. Thus, Jews have an ancient claim to the land. However, Palestinian Arabs are unwilling and unable to acknowledge their claim of Israel.
Among those groups, they work with are women and girls, children, peasant families, prisoners, and civil society activists, all of whom face increased levels of discrimination and even violence, the media reported.
These organizations speak the language of universal human rights, claimed international organizations, and political figures.
Sahar Francis, director of Addameer, one of the NGOs targeted by Gantz said very rightly that: “The laws used to target Palestinians can be used against everyone.”
Not first of its kind, similar intentions were shown by them when Palestine was running dry when Israel refused to grant the license to dig for Palestinians, “they steal and sell our water to us”, they claimed. Ceasefires, violations of human rights, shootouts, bombing residential areas, gas shelling, and other war crime activities have become a routine for Israel unquestionably.
