A few days after the establishment of the new Afghan government as a result of the fall of Ashraf Ghani’s government, India is hosting a security conference on the Afghanistan issue to engage the regional powers and discuss Afghanistan and regional security.
India is trying to reach out to countries that joined Iran-plus six-nation Regional Security Dialogue in Tehran. The six countries that received invitations from India are Pakistan, China, Iran, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
Pakistani National Security Advisor (NSA) Moeed Yusuf in a media briefing was asked about the security conference hosted by India. Answering this question NSA Moeed Yusuf said he won’t attend the conference hosted by India. He further added a spoiler can not be a peacemaker that’s why he won’t attend the conference.
