CNN Promotes Sunnah In Its Report About Fasting 2 Days A Week

American news channel Cable News Network (CNN) in its latest report suggested that fasting 2 days a week is healthier for people trying to lose weight. According to CNN, the latest research shows obese people can effectively lose weight and become healthy if they fast 2 days a week.

CNN reported the research of Katie Myers Smith, a senior researcher and chartered health psychologist at the Queen Mary University of London. Around 300 obese people were observed in this research, and the conclusion was that fasting twice a week is beneficial for them.

Muslims started this practice 1400 years ago when Prophet Muhammad ï·º demonstrated his followers by fasting twice a week. Muslims have a whole month known as Ramadan that is observed for fasting. However, the Holy Prophet Muhammad ï·º used to fast twice a week throughout the year.
