TV star, Zainab Qayyum, a model turned actor shared her experience in the Fashion and Showbiz industry through an interview recently. She was up close and open about her journey throughout and how she kept on progressing, from one field to another.
On being asked about dramas, her views were quite clear on the narratives dramas these days set, in regards to women. There is a need to set agendas specifically for divorced, widowed and middle aged women, which should be projected through the drama serials.
The conversation linked to the “me too” movement and how it is not rightly appertained to the audience that actually has to be targeted. She stressed on the “elite touch” to be removed from movements like these and to reckon it for the “Tabqa” it is meant to be for. The idea has been misused and has not fully related to the essence of it.
