Saudi Arabia is currently facing a tough time from Yemen’s Houthi rebels who are looking for military assistance from Pakistan. On Thursday Saudi air defence shot down a drone operated by Houthi rebels near the kingdom’s southern border airport.
With the rising security threat, Saudi Arabia is willing to seek Pakistan Air Force’s expertise to train its fighter pilots. Pakistani Top Gun Group Captain Nouman Ali Khan is already in Saudi Arabia to participate in a joint military exercise.
The legendary Pakistani pilot is well known in Pakistan for shooting down Group Captain Abhinandan Varthaman from Indian Air Force on 27th February 2019. Group Captain Nouman Ali Khan shot Abhinandan’s MiG-21 bison with his F-16. Reportedly, the ace pilot will now train fighter pilots of the Royal Saudi Air Force.
