The whole social media erupted with anger over the alleged attack upon famous anchorperson Iqrar-ul-Hasan and his team by the members of the intelligence agency for bringing forth their corruption. On one side we are talking about the freedom of the press but on the other side media personalities are taking law in their own hands.
A famous media analyst Mohsin Baig was seen not just holding FIA officers hostage but opened direct fire as well after they came to arrest him. A few days back, Mohsin Baig along with some other media analysts was seen using double meaning language against communication minister Murad Saeed in Ghraeeda Farooqi’s show on news one. Murad Saeed registered a complaint against him and FIA conducted a raid based on the First investigation report (FIR).
It is true that journalism is not a crime but taking the law in one’s hand, certainly is which, Mohsin Baig did.
Opposition is condemning the act but the reality is that Murad Saeed was using the right legal channel for the defamation he faced while Mohsin Baig along with his son and servants attacked the law enforcers which is never justifiable.
