As per details, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan received a phone call from the EU president to discuss the Russia-Ukraine conflict which is deepening with every passing day. Fawad Chaudhry said Ursula Von Der Leyen requested PM Imran Khan for mediation in the conflict.
Imran Khan took to Twitter, to express his shared concerns over the continued military conflict, highlighted its adverse economic impact on developing countries. Imran Khan agreed that ceasefire and de-escalation are needed to restore peace in the region.
Moreover, he said the importance of humanitarian relief and reiterated calls for a solution through dialogue and diplomacy. Both agreed during the conversation that countries like Pakistan could play a facilitating role in this endeavor. Imran Khan said he will look forward to close engagement to promote shared objectives.
