PML-N leadership has reversed its decision to shut down the Ehsaas Langar Khanay and Panaah Gaah after facing public outrage.
According to the media reports, the current Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif gave himself the title of “Khaadim-e-Pakistan” in his first speech after becoming PM, and had decided to shut down the Ehsaas Langar Khanay stating that the National Treasury can’t afford it.
However, claiming to be “Khaadim-e-Pakistan”, PM Shahbaz Sharif has given the status of PM house to all of his three residences. The three residences include the one in Model Town Lahore, the Raiwind residence, and the Central Secretariat.
After the report reached the public that the current government has decided to shut down Ehsaas Food and Shelter Programme that was initiated by the former prime minister Imran Khan, the government faced massive public outrage and backlash.
Due to the public outrage, the Government decided to reverse its decision, and the spokesperson of PML-N, Maryam Aurangzeb said that the public service projects will continue and hence the Ehsaas Langar Khanay And Panah Gaah would not be closed.
