Hamza Shehbaz Sharif finally manages to sworn in as 21st Cheif Minister of Punjab. He was elected as CM punjab by the provincial legislative assembly after the former CM Sardar Usman Buzdar resigned from his office.
There had been a deadlock between Hamza Shehbaz and Governor Punjab Umar Sarfaraz Cheema regarding the oath taking of the newly elected Cheif Minister for which Hamza Shahbaz approached Lahore High Court three times seeking judicial help in resolving the matter.
Umar Cheema as Governor Punjab restrained from taking oath from Hamza Shehbaz by rejecting the resignation of former CM Sardar Usman Buzdar. Governor was of the opinion that the constitutional requirements were not fulfilled.
However, yesterday, Lahore High Court gave a verdict in the evening, ordering Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf to take oath from Hamza Shehbaz.
Implementing the court order, today, NA Speaker took oath from Hamza Shahbaz as the 21st Chief Minister of Punjab.
