The Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG-ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar has clarified that the military leadership never invites politicians for meetings and the Chief of Army Staff meets them only when the politicians request to do so.
The spokesperson of Pakistan Army has again said that the Army has repeatedly requested not to drag them into politics. He further added that the armed forces of the country has no role in politics according to the constitution.
Moreover, he said that the Armed forces of the country have been tolerant for a long time as an institution. “The focus of army is to look after the responsibility of internal security of the country and it has a major role in it”, he added.
