Former Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari Arrested From Her Home For An FIR Lodged In 1972

The fear of the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek E Insaf stands true as government has started a campaign to arrest the mainstream leadership of the party. Former Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari has been arrested from her home for an fir regarding land transfers in 1972.

The reports of Shireen Mazari’s detention were confirmed by her daughter Iman Mazari and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Chaudhry Fawad Hussain. According to a tweet posted by Iman Mazari, anti corruption Lahore beated her mother and then arrested.

“My mother has been kidnapped. I won’t say she was arrested. When someone is arrested the police informs you on what charge a person is taken away for. I don’t know where she is. She has been forcibly disappeared by this government because they think women are soft targets” said her daughter Zainab Mazari in a media talk.
