Former Cricketer Names Asif Zardari In World Cup Match Fixing Scandal

Former Pakistani cricketer Zulqarnain Haider, in a TV show, has revealed several controversial insights about the match-fixing scandals in Pakistan Cricket.

According to the former wicketkeeper-batsman, the 2011 Pakistan vs India cricket world cup semi-final match was fixed and the then Pakistani government was involved in it. He named the former president and prime minister, Asif Ali Zardari and Yousuf Raza Gilani along with the late Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Rehman Malik.

Furthermore, Zulqarnain Haider also mentioned the corrupt practices of the former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi. Najam Sethi was a totally corrupt chairman of PCB who always wanted his commission in every contract of PCB, he added.

Moreover, he claimed that even in today’s cricket, the results of all matches are already determined. Organizers are only making fools of cricket fans.

He refused to mention the names of the cricketers who were involved in match fixing scandals and said, “The whole Pakistan Cricket Team could have been banned if all the cricketers involved in match-fixing were caught.”
