Israeli Forces Have Arrested More Than 400 Palestinians, After A Violent Strike On Masjid E Aqsa

The Israeli military carried out continued attacks against Palestinians from the night until the morning, with eyewitnesses reporting that they were forcibly removing Palestinians from a compound and preventing them from praying. After the Israeli military gained access to the compound with police protection, Palestinians were not allowed to continue their prayers. In the aftermath of these events, at least 400 Palestinians were arrested on Wednesday and are currently being detained by Israeli authorities at a police station in Atarot, located in occupied East Jerusalem, reported Al Jazeera

The Arab League, an organization of 22 countries in the Middle East and North Africa, has condemned the Israeli military’s actions in a statement issued earlier. The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, expressed his disapproval, stating that the Israeli government’s extremist policies would result in widespread conflict with the Palestinians if they were not reigned in.

Reports from Palestinian witnesses suggest that the Israeli military used excessive force during their attacks, including stun grenades and tear gas, which resulted in injuries from suffocation. Israeli press has confirmed the use of stun grenades by Israeli forces to clear out the mosque. Additionally, the Israeli military have used batons and rifles to beat the Palestinian worshippers. The Palestinian Red Crescent said 19 worshipers were injured in the clashes, three of whom were taken to hospital.
