Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued an order to the Inspector General of Punjab (IGP) to present anchorperson Imran Riaz Khan by May 22. The Chief Justice presided over the case concerning the recovery of Imran Riaz Khan and directed the IGP to produce him before the court by the mentioned date.
The Chief Justice also instructed the IGP to provide a written response regarding the raid on Imran Riaz Khan’s residence, specifying the reasons, purpose, and objectives of the raid.
It is worth noting that the first information report (FIR) for the abduction of Imran Riaz Khan, a senior journalist and anchorperson, was filed based on a complaint from his father. The FIR was registered at the Civil Line police station in Sialkot, as stated by the District Police Officer (DPO) of Sialkot.
