Pakistan’s security forces killed 13 India-backed terrorists during two failed infiltration attempts along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on April 28 and 29, according to a statement shared by Inter-Services Public Relations.
The military’s media wing said that in Mohmand District, security forces detected the movement of a group attempting to cross the border. “Own troops effectively engaged this group… as a result of precise and skillful engagement, eight khwarij belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna al Khwarij were sent to hell,” the ISPR said.
In a separate operation in North Waziristan District, troops foiled another infiltration attempt. Following an intense exchange of fire, five more terrorists were killed.
The ISPR stated that these incidents “once again substantiate Pakistan’s repeated stance regarding abject failure of Afghan Taliban regime to ensure effective border management on their side,” urging Afghan authorities to prevent the use of their territory for attacks inside Pakistan.
It added that sanitisation operations were ongoing to eliminate any remaining threats in the area. The statement further reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain “resolute and unwavering” in defending the country’s frontiers, with counterterrorism efforts continuing under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” campaign to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism.
