Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has praised neighbouring countries, including Pakistan, for ensuring that their territories are not used against Iran amid regional tensions.
Speaking during a meeting with Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Tehran, Iranian President Pezeshkian described cooperation from regional neighbours as “valuable and commendable,” particularly in preventing any misuse of their soil for hostile activities targeting Iran.
He said stronger unity among Muslim countries would reduce opportunities for “external interference and adventurism” by extra-regional powers, including what he referred to as the “Zionist regime.”
Pezeshkian added that recent developments showed Iran’s population had demonstrated unity and resilience during the conflict period, standing firmly with the state.
On the other hand, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said recent events had helped clarify the “real dimensions” of regional politics and the role of different actors, adding that crises often reveal “true friends and adversaries” in critical moments.
