The Chief of the Defence Staff of India, General Bipin Rawat, on Friday referring to the drone attack on Jammu Air Force Station, gave a statement in reaction.
At a session with the Global Counter-Terrorism Council, Rawat disclosed that Indian forces have developed an anti-drone mechanism. He also added that the system was unable to fulfill the needs of the defence system of the country.
He said that “If the assets of the nation are to be protected, we need a large number of such systems.” According to Rawat, new structures will emerge within one year.
He also said that if a two-front war is imposed, we will decide upon a primary and secondary front depending on the intensity of the attacks.
He showed his interest in creating two separate commands for the efficiency of the defence system. According to the plan, these commands will be able to coordinate with each other when needed.
