Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, many European countries condemned Russia. One of those countries is Israel, an apartheid state built on Palestinian land.
Soon after Israel condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Russian envoy to the United Nation Dmitry Polyanskiy stated that Israel is expanding its settlement in the occupied Golan Heights which is a part of Syria.
Russia’s statement remains unchanged on the authority of Israel over the Golan Heights. Claiming that the Golan Heights was officially recognised as part of Syria when the country acquired independence in 1944, a year before Israel was created.
