The Pakistani government on Wednesday night increased petrol prices by Rs24.03 per litre, diesel by Rs59.16 per litre and kerosene oil by Rs39.49 per litre.
Starting from June 16, the petrol will be sold at Rs233.89 per litre, diesel at Rs263.31, kerosene oil at Rs211.43, and light diesel oil at Rs207.47.
Finance Minister said that government is not in a position to afford subsidies on products. PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry announced that his party has rejected the increase in petroleum products.
As the petroleum prices hit all-time high, the transporters have announced 20% increase in fares.
