From Pro Israel March to “we stand with Israel” trends on social media, Hindu nationalists in India never fail to express their love and support for Israel but Modi administration surprised them by extending support to Palestinian cause and being vocal against Israeli atrocities against Palestinian people.
While many Indians appreciated PM Narendra Modi for standing with humanity and raising voice for victims (Palestine), many others, mostly followers of Hindutva ideology, opposed Modi’s decision and demanded withdrawal of Indian support towards Palestine.
Several Indians took on the social media to express their rage over Modi administration’s support of Palestine, some people said take back your support or else you are not our PM. Some Hindutvadis said Israel resides in our heart, if Israel wasn’t there for us, India would have ended long ago.
