Google Sued For Tracking User’s Location Even After Turning Off The GPS

World’s most commonly user search engine Google has been accessing location of it’s user without their consent. An unedited court document in a lawsuit revealed it was difficult for users to hide their location from Google.

In 2020 US state of Arizona filed a lawsuit against Google, claiming that search engine giant secretly accessed the location of its users without their consent. The lawsuit documents revealed that company’s top executive and operators labelled this deliberate breach of personal data as General Knowledge.

The lawsuit also accused that Google pressurized mobile phone manufacturers to hide the privacy settings or make it enough complicated to reach required settings due to regular activation of users.

Google tried to explain that the lawsuit is misleading the users and Google Respects the privacy of every individual. However, if Google is found guilty then the company will have to pay 10,000 US dollars for each violation they have committed according to the fraud law of Arizona.
