Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi reacted to the horrific incident that occurred in Canada, Ontario, where a Pakistani Muslim family was murdered in the wake of rising Islamophobia in the West.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that he stands with the victims’ family and the Government of Pakistan will extend any sort of support required, Qureshi said local police found that this attack was carried out in hate against Muslims, therefore it’s a terrorist attack.
We are still waiting for the post mortem reports, deceased was a physiotherapist and a well-educated man who hailed from Lahore. We have asked Canadian ambassador to visit the foreign office and we urge Canadian Prime Minister to look into this matter, adding that protection of Muslim community in Canada is his responsibility.
