Lahore: An incident at the Greater Iqbal Park on the eve of independence shocked the whole nation. A female TikToker was assaulted, groped and harassed by nearly 400 men while she was making a TikTok video in front of the national monument.
The heart-wrenching videos shared on social media caused massive public outrage. Netizens expressed their sympathies with the victim and also demanded exemplary punishment for the culprits involved. The Lahore Lari Adda police station has registered an FIR against 400 unknown people.
As per sources from the Prime Minister’s office, Imran Khan phoned Inam Ghani, the Inspector General of Punjab Police and directed him to immediately apprehend those involved. The police are investigating in the light of evidence and trying to identify each and every man involved in the assault.
