Star cricketer Shahid Afridi visited the Bakhtawar Girls Cadet College in Nawabshah and while interacting with the girl cadets, he advised them to live their lives according to the principles of Isam. Shahid Afridi visited the girls cadet college along with Tableeghi Jamaat on the invitation of the principal of the college, Brigadier (R) Dr Muhammad Amin.
During his visit, Afridi talked about his cricket career and his journey that how he started preaching Islam from being a cricket star and Pakistan’s top model. He also delivered a lecture to the girl cadets about women rights in Islam and advised them to follow Islamic principles in their lives.
Moreover, Star Cricketer added that during his cricket career he once decided to leave sports because some captains wanted him out of the team, but Islam and Tableegh helped him a lot in sticking to his passion with patience despite conspiracies. He also urged female students to make studies their priority and take part in sports activities as well. Mobile phones and social media are waste of time, said Afridi.
