Sialkot Incident Will Not Affect Our Ties With Pakistan, We Are Satisfied With The Steps Taken By Imran Khan, Says Sri Lankan Ambassador to Pakistan

The Sialkot incident where the Sri Lankan manager was lynched and his dead body was burnt disturbed the image of Pakistan globally.

Sri Lanka which is known as a friendly country and has always been supportive towards Pakistan strongly condemned this act of extremism against the defenseless Sri Lankan manager.

Pakistan’s relation with Sri Lanka was at stake because of 0.01% extremism that does not represent the entire Pakistan. Pakistan acted swiftly to apprehend all those extremists involved in this unpleasant incident and arrested over 200 accused.

Due to the quick notice of Prime Minister Imran Khan and swift action of the Pakistani Government, Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Pakistan Vice Admiral Mohan Wijewickrama expressed his satisfaction.

He further stated that we are happy with the steps taken by the Pakistani government and the Sialkot incident will not affect our ties with Pakistan.
