Afghan Foreign Minister Slams Hamid Karzai For Giving Statement Against PM Imran Khan

Pakistan hosted the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Summit (OIC) in Islamabad on 19th December. PM Imran Khan delivered a speech during the summit, addressing the leaders of the Muslim world.

PM Imran Khan urged the world to provide relief to Afghanistan and prevent humanitarian and economical crises. He said if chaos breaks out across Afghanistan due to crisis then it will directly affect the national security of Pakistan.

Imran Khan also added that the presence of ISIS militants in Afghanistan is not just a problem to Afghan people but it’s posing a direct threat to Pakistan.

Former Afghan president Hamid Karzai reacted to the statement of PM Imran Khan. Karzai said Imran Khan should refrain from giving any statement on Afghanistan.

Karzai also refused Imran Khan’s statement about the presence of militants on Afghan soil, calling it an insult to the Afghan people.

Soon after Karzai’s statement against Imran Khan, the acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan rebuked Karzai. The Afghan Foreign Minister stated Imran Khan’s remarks about war-torn Afghanistan are not an insult.
