Riots In Sweden After Swedish Politician Burns Holy Quran During A Live-Stream, Dozens Arrested

Danish-Swedish Politician Rasmus Paludan had organized a series of rallies after his announcement to burn Holy Quran. He said that he has burned a copy of Holy Quran before and wants to do it again

Muslims in Sweden got angry at the plans to burn Holy Quran by Swedish extremists which resulted in violent clashes between police and the people. More than 40 people have been arrested after the riots. Reportedly, three people were injured as a result of police officers firing warning shots at rioters.

Swedish Police reported that 40 people were injured in the violence including 26 police officers and more than 20 vehicles had been damaged.

This was not the first time when violent clashes occurred during the protests against the plans to burn the Holy Quran. It happened before in 2020 as well in which shops were damaged and cars were set on fire.
