Don’t Drag Army Into Politics, Warns ISPR

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has warned not to drag Armed forces into politics in the best interest of the country.

The statement issued by ISPR said that efforts are being made to drag the armed forces into political dialogue. “Some political leaders are talking about the top leadership of the Armed forces directly and indirectly. Such inauthentic provocative statements are extremely harmful”, said the statement.

According to ISPR, involving armed forces in illegal and immoral activities is strictly prohibited and all are expected to abide by the law. “Armed forces should be kept out of politics in country’s best interest”, the statement warned.
