The controversial cipher that was called a threat letter by former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been stolen from Prime Minister House. The federal cabinet under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reported on Friday that the original copy of the cipher is missing.
The federal cabinet termed the theft of diplomatic cipher a violation of the Official Secrets Act, 1923. This act is unforgivable and culprits involved in this theft will face legal actions, the cabinet reported.
The cabinet has formed a special committee to investigate the matter of the stolen cipher and decide the legal action against culprits involved in this incident. Representatives of coalition parties in government will be part of this special committee.
