A massive farmer protest is being observed in Islamabad by Kisan Ittihad (Farmer’s union). Farmers are protesting against the rising inflation including petroleum prices which is affecting agriculture across Pakistan.
High petroleum prices especially diesel price is the reason farmers have to spend more on irrigation through tube wells. These are the main factors that the yield products are expensive and farmers are unable to earn enough due to inflation.
However, the farmer leader reported that during a negotiation with the Federal interior minister, Rana Sanaullah warned them not to become a victim of the preparation he has done against Imran Khan. Farmer leader said if the government is willing to solve the issues and they should refrain from such threats.
