Palestinian media sources have stated that an Israeli attack on a vehicle in central Gaza, near Deir al-Balah, resulted in the tragic deaths of five aid workers who were associated with World Central Kitchen (WCK).
These dedicated individuals were engaged in humanitarian efforts, aiming to provide assistance to those in need within the region.According to these reports, World Central Kitchen had been in coordination with Israeli authorities in anticipation of the arrival of their initial aid shipment destined for Gaza via sea.
Today, as the organization commenced offloading and distributing supplies from the newly established pier by Israel, tragedy struck with the targeted attack.
Among the victims, four were identified as nationals of different countries: Australia, Britain, Poland, and Palestine.
However, the nationality of the fifth individual remains unconfirmed at this time. This devastating incident underscores the risks faced by humanitarian workers operating in conflict zones and highlights the urgent need for peace and stability in the region.
