Israel Has Cancelled Diplomatic Trips To US, After US Refused To Use Veto Power Against Ceasefire Resolution

Israel has reportedly cancelled diplomatic trips to Washington. This is an important development after US refusal to use veto power in UN Security Council.

Earlier today, UN Security Council passed a resolution for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. It was the first time since October 7th that US didn’t vetoed a UN resolution. US however, abstained from voting. The resolution was therefore passed by the Security Council.

After this action Netanyahu has ordered to cancel a diplomatic trip to Washington. The trip was planned this week. The aim of the trip was to discuss Rafah invasion.

Media reports claim that Israel wanted to get diplomatic support for Rafah invasion. However, after today’s vote, it seems clear that USA is not going to provide support to Israel for Rafah invasion.

US is under pressure as public opinion is shifting in favor of Gaza, against Israeli Warcrimes.
