Afghan Government Bans IPL 2021 Broadcast

The Afghan government has strictly notified the Afghan media channels not to broadcast the ongoing Indian cricket league known as Indian Premier League (IPL) due to the presence of female audience and cheerleaders in the stadium.

Afghan journalist, Fawad Aman tweeted that “Hilarious: Afghanistan government have forbidden the broadcasting of Indian Premier League (IPL) in Afghanistan. Afghan government strictly notify the Afghan media channels in this regard. Due to girls pirouettes (dancing) and the presence of a female audience and onlookers in the stadium.”

IPL 2021 is advancing in UAE and two matches have already been played between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knights Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The playoffs of IPL 2021 are programmed to begin on October 10 with the final match to be held on October 15.
