Pakistan To Jointly Launch TV Channel With Malaysia And Turkey To Combat Islamophobia

Back in September 2019, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan after a meeting with Turkish President Erdogan and former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad announced that Pakistan will launch a TV channel.

The TV channel would be a joint effort of Pakistan, Turkey, and Malaysia to counter Islamophobia. All three leaders realized the need for an English news channel that will present the narrative of Muslims.

Today the Pakistani Federal Minister of Information Fawad Chaudhry announced that Pakistan is all set to continue with the joint venture of TV channel with Turkey and Malaysia.

Previously Former Prime Minister of Malaysia Mahathir Mohamad was part of this joint venture. Now his successor and the current Prime Minister of Malaysia Muhyiddin Yassin will be a part of this project from the Malaysian side.
