Maiden visit of Putin from Moscow to Pakistan is now a huge step to improve the bilateral relationships between the two countries ever since the cold war rivalry. The official invitation from Khan is proving to turn into an expected visit by Putin that terms to bear “Big Ticket Projects”.
The main aspect of attention is the multi-billion dollars project of the Gas pipeline agreement, covering a distance of 1122km, from Karachi to Kasur. The project has precursors back from 2015 but will now be officially signed at the total investment of 2.25 billion dollars with 74% stakes for Pakistan in it.
After staggering for 9 years, this project holds strategic importance other than just economic weightage. On the other hand, joint military exercises being held between the two countries since 2016 lead Putin to sell arms, becoming an agenda of the visit.
