Prime Minister House To Be Converted To University In 6 Years

From the very first day, PM Imran Khan had announced to convert PM house in (INU) calling education as the top priority of the PTI government. The PM said that the establishment of INU is aimed at reducing the gap between the government and the public.

According to sources, the cost of the project was estimated to be around Rs 35bn. The total area of PM House could be more than 100 acres but the university required over 50 acres only.
The bill, which has already been passed by the NA that the project once started will take 72 months to complete. The prime minister emphasized the overall standard of education would be improved.

The government was trying to get the first class of this university launched in spring 2022. The NA Standing Committee also passed the Pakistan Institute of Education Bill 2020.

The PM said no nation can make progress without quality education. Education is imperative for progress and development. Initially, the government faced difficulty in going ahead with the proposal because the PM House is located in a highly sensitive area and red zone of the capital.
